Web Selfcare: More Independence, More Autonomy
Web Selfcare: More Independence, More Autonomy
With Web Selfcare, Proximus NXT enables its business customers to take control of the management of their mobile subscriptions.
Today, communication services have become strategic, and companies want the means to accelerate their development. In practical terms, this is no longer just about unblocking a SIM card, but about leveraging a new pricing plan, adjusting user consumption, managing the usage of a fleet or department, and sending SMS notifications or alerts to the entire organization in just a few clicks.
“Communication services have changed status; companies are now fully integrating them into their growth strategy,” explains Eric Abella, Head of Service Delivery Mobile at Proximus NXT. “This evolution translates into a need for proactivity, which we are addressing today with an innovative solution: Web Selfcare.”
The idea? To enable business customers who wish to do so to make decisions and take action themselves, gaining control over certain operations that impact their organization. How? Through a highly sophisticated management tool—Web Selfcare—which allows them to literally “steer” their communications autonomously.
Activate, deactivate: you are in control!
Designed for all business customers, Web Selfcare is a secure and free service that allows users to manage their account in real time.
“User monitoring is becoming increasingly important,” explains Eric Abella. “In the past, you would simply call a sales agent to request changes. Today, in a constantly evolving environment, the ability to react makes the difference. If an employee loses their smartphone, you must be able to block its usage immediately—even if you unblock it half an hour later because the device has been found!”
Consider newly hired employees, for example. Today, as soon as they join, they may be assigned a smartphone or tablet. Web Selfcare allows immediate action, including line activation.
“You have a set of numbers to which you can assign profiles,” continues Eric Abella. “Three minutes later, the lines are active. You’ve done it in just a few clicks, without external assistance. In short, you are fully autonomous!”
Managing means anticipating
The first obvious use case is invoice management. Web Selfcare allows users to view invoices in different formats, pay them, and export on demand files containing all communications from a fleet or a specific line.
“And thanks to the Excel format, you can directly use and easily reprocess the data,” adds Eric Abella.
Managing means taking control: for example, modifying SIM card user names or profiles, activating cost centers, or administering the SIM cards required by the organization. Web Selfcare allows companies to create, activate, change, and unblock their own SIM cards.
And where there is unblocking, there is also blocking: for example, restricting premium SMS services, SMS usage, or roaming data for certain users.
Web Selfcare also enables companies to manage their interaction with Proximus NXT services by submitting requests directly through the platform, or importing a complete inventory of mobile devices used across their fleet.
With Web Selfcare, customers become fully autonomous. They are no longer just users of a set of services—they become their managers and, to some extent, their guarantors. They can ensure compliance with internal rules and access their SLAs online, leading to greater security and cost savings.
